CLEMSON — The Clemson women’s basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in the last 25 years and the program’s first in seven years. It is also the Tigers’ first appearance under head coach Shawn Poppie, who took over the program two years ago.
Clemson (21-11) will play No. 9 seed Southern Call in the Columbia Regional on Saturday in Columbia, S.C. The Tigers will be a No. 8 in Regional 4.
This will be the Tigers’ 17th NCAA appearance overall.
